Finger sponge
Finger sponge’s also known as Iotrochota birotulata are found in both salt and fresh water usually in the shallow area. Finger sponges are normally 1.6 in inches diameter and 20 inches tall. They grow atop rocks and can survive in a wide variety of conditions. They have a somewhat complex defense system as they use toxins found in their body to deter predator when they come to close. Like all sponges the finger sponge does not have a nervous system.
